2nd Meeting of the Hemispheric University Consortium
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Hilary Beckles will host the 14 university presidents who are members of the Hemispheric University Consortium (HUC) at The UWI Regional Headquarters in Jamaica.
The HUC was established last year, in April 2018, to share knowledge and discovery and seek solutions to some of the hemisphere’s most pressing problems, such as public health, climate change, and other challenges in the region. This second meeting will facilitate discussions to evaluate its progress and establish a formal governance structure for the consortium.
UWItv will carry live coverage of the Opening Ceremony, a Signing Ceremony of the HUC members as well as a Presidents’ Roundtable on Challenges to Global Health, on its website at www.uwitv.org.
