Bravo in the mix for UWI T20 2017

Darren Bravo is set to lead the Queen’s Park charge as the opening matches of the 2017 UWI T20 tournament begin on Wednesday at the Sir Frank Worrell Cricket Ground, St Augustine.

Bravo, Kevon Cooper and Nicholas Pooran are part of the QPCC team for the tournament which runs from January 5-15.

QPCC swing into action at 2:00 pm against Cane Farm before playing Central Sports at 6:00 pm.

The opening match of the tournament begins at 10:00 am with Cane Farm playing Central Sports.

A formal opening of the tournament will take place at 5:00 pm at the UWI Sports and Physical Education Center.

Manager of the Central Sports team Richard Ramkissoon told LoopTT that he is optimistic about his team’s chances in the tournament.

“I think Central Sports has an excellent chance in this competition. The only thing is that the group that we are in (Group A) is called the Group of Death,” he said. Read more
