Nominations are open for the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence 2017/2018

11 Vice-Chancellor’s Awards are available for nominees from academic staff, senior administrative and professional staff as well as inter-campus collaborating groups in recognition of performance excellence.

Eligibility
All current members of the academic staff, the senior administrative staff, and the professional staff (excluding executive management, registrars, bursars, part-time staff, and retired staff who have been re-hired on post-retirement contracts) who have been in the continuous service of the university for at least 5 years prior to the application or nomination are eligible for an award. Eligibility will also be open to departments / units, where appropriate.

Outstanding research accomplishments

Outstanding service to the university community

Outstanding contribution to public service

Outstanding contribution in a combination of two or more areas

Departmental Award for Excellence (1 award)
Outstanding departments and units in the area of quality assurance excellence.

Award for Excellence in Multi-Campus Research Collaboration:

The One-UWI Award (1 award)
Involvement in multi-campus research to implement high quality projects that make a significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge and/or address a significant regional development challenge, often with the support of research grants won competitively from international funding agencies.

Award for Excellence in International Collaboration:

The Globalisation Award (1 award)

Active engagement in international collaboration to advance knowledge globally, address significant regional or international development challenges, or achieve capacity development of the collaborating partners or their stakeholders, and through this collaboration, to enhance international recognition of The UWI and its global presence.
