
UWI Cricket Club continue winning ways in 50-Overs
THE UNIVERSITY of the West Indies (UWI) Cricket Club registered their third victory, in the Fourth Round of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) East/North East 50-Overs Championship League when they defeated Bamboo Cricket Club by two wickets on Sunday at the Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Ground, UWI St Augustine.
Bamboo won the toss and elected to bat in humid conditions, on a pitch that provided a lot of purchase for the bowlers. Bamboo was bowled out for 184 runs in 49.5 overs with Hron Ramharack scoring 69, Darendra Singh 32 not out and Vinda Soomai 24.
The pick of the bowlers for UWI was Jameel Lashley with four wickets for 23 runs, while Jasbour Findlay had 3/35 and Russell Paul 2/29. Read more
