UWI, HCC move to combat non-communicable diseases

THE UNIVERSITY OF THE West Indies Open Campus and the Healthy Caribbean Coalition (HCC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in an attempt to combat the high level of non-communicable diseases (NCDS) in the region.

The agreement was signed by HCC president Sir Trevor Hassell and Pro Vice Chancellor and Principal of the open campus Dr Luz Longsworth today at the campus’ Learning Centre. Dr Longsworth said that the partnership was an important way to merge two key sectors, education and health. Read more
