UWI Look To Impress Again

The University of the West Indies (UWI) FC will look to continue their surprising run in the 2016-17 Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) season when they tackle Waterhouse FC in the third-round preliminary stage at the Drewsland Stadium today at 3:30 p.m.

Both teams are at different ends of the 12-team elite league and are coming off victories in last week’s round. UWI clipped Tivoli Gardens 3-2 at Edward Seaga Complex, while Waterhouse edged Maverley-Hughenden 2-1 in a fierce Boulevard derby at Drewsland.

UWI are on 42 points alongside Tivoli and reigning champions Montego Bay United (MBU) in the race for top-six qualification. However, Tivoli enjoy a better goal difference ahead of UWI and MBU. Read more
